AIR10

A sweet-sounding solution.

With their “best of both worlds” power-amp configuration, carefully programmed DSP presets, versatile mounting options, flexible inputs with onboard mixing, and other professional features, PreSonus AIR-series loudspeakers are an excellent choice for both mobile and installed sound. You’ll love their easy transportability and their affordability. But the best thing about AIR-series loudspeakers is their clear, natural, “AIR-y” sound. Don’t just take our word for it, though. Check out AIR-series loudspeakers at your favorite PreSonus dealer.

AIR10: Versatile, customizable, and easy to transport.

Compact and lightweight, AIR10 active loudspeakers provide a rich, extended low-end and natural high-frequency extension in an enclosure that will easily fit in the backseat of a small car. Backed by 1,200W (dynamic) of Class D/Class AB power and enhanced with easy-to-use digital tuning functions, the AIR10 gives you all the power and tools you need for both mobile and installed sound.

The best of two worlds.

Each type of power amplifier has advantages and disadvantages. By employing different amplifier types for each driver, AIR10 loudspeakers use the respective strengths of Class D and Class A/B amplifiers to provide optimal response throughout the speaker’s frequency range. A 500W (continuous), Class D amplifier powers the 10-inch low-frequency driver, providing efficient, clean low end when you need it. A 200W (continuous), Class AB amplifier powers the 1-inch high-frequency driver, delivering a natural sounding, "AIR-y" high end. The combination can deliver up to 121 dB SPL of sweet, clear sound between 66 Hz and 20 kHz.

Fast and easy customization.

The AIR10 loudspeaker is equipped with an easy-to-use signal processor that makes it simple to customize your loudspeakers with the push of a button. Presets customize the AIR10’s response for use as front-of-house mains; as monitor wedges; for music playback (e.g., for DJs); for enhanced low end and a warmer sound; and for improved speech intelligibility. Treble and bass controls let you boost or cut by 10 dB to compensate for room anomalies. Location presets let you optimize performance for stand and bracket mounting as well as flown installations.

Versatile mounting for a variety of applications.

The AIR10’s molded plastic cabinet can be mounted in several ways, providing tremendous versatility. The multi-angle enclosure sports nonskid rubber feet on the bottom for upright front-of-house use and nonskid rubber feet on one side for stage monitor applications. Rig the speaker using M10 fly points or ground-stack it for portable applications. Mount it on a tripod or atop an AIR-series subwoofer using an optional sub pole. The integrated dual-position pole mount lets you aim the speaker level or at a 7.5˚ downward tilt. And the AIR10 is easy to transport, thanks to its top-mounted handle.

You’ll be floored.

If you place a loudspeaker against a hard surface such as a wall or floor, the low frequencies emitted from the rear of the enclosure propagate back into the room. This effect, called “half-space loading,” can increase the output of bass frequencies by as much as 6 dB, and it is an unavoidable issue with floor monitors. Most PA speakers in this class simply roll off excess low frequencies with a highpass filter—a half-baked compensation for half-space loading. In contrast, AIR-series full-range loudspeakers offer a Monitor preset that uses DSP to retune the speaker to both compensate for bass buildup and maintain a tight mid-bass response, while suppressing problematic frequencies to reduce feedback.

Flexible inputs.

AIR-series full-range loudspeakers offer a choice of inputs so you can use them with a variety of sources. You get two combo XLR mic/TRS line inputs, each with a Class A microphone preamplifier and independent gain control. A stereo 1/8” connection admits signals from smartphones, tablets, and other consumer audio devices. These signals can be combined with the AIR10’s internal mixer, and a balanced XLR Mix output lets you send pass the signals to other AIR-series loudspeakers.

PRE-AIR15
AIR15

AIR15 Versatile, customizable, and easy to transport.

Compact and lightweight, AIR15 active loudspeakers provide a rich, extended low-end and natural high-frequency extension in an enclosure that will easily fit in the backseat of a small car. Backed by 1,200W (dynamic) of Class D/Class AB power and enhanced with easy-to-use digital tuning functions, the AIR15 gives you all the power and tools you need for both mobile and installed sound.

The best of two worlds.

Each type of power amplifier has advantages and disadvantages. By employing different amplifier types for each driver, AIR15 loudspeakers use the respective strengths of Class D and Class A/B amplifiers to provide optimal response throughout the speaker’s frequency range. A 500W (continuous), Class D amplifier powers the 15-inch low-frequency driver, providing efficient, clean power for gut-shaking low end when you need it. A 200W (continuous), Class A/B amplifier powers the 1.35-inch high-frequency driver, delivering a natural sounding, "AIR-y" high end. The combination can deliver up to 124 dB SPL of sweet, clear sound between 47 Hz and 20 kHz.

Impulse Response, or IR, is the basis for digitally tuning any loudspeaker system. IR involves managing phase coherence with digital Infinite Impulse Response (IIR) filters, along with symmetrical and asymmetrical crossover filters. In designing the AIR-series professional loudspeakers, PreSonus made specific choices that make tuning (voicing) and coherence easier and more natural sounding. In most modern powered loudspeaker systems, Class D digital switch-mode amplifiers are used for all transducers. Class D amplifiers have many benefits. However, if the switching frequency of a Class D amp is not sufficiently high enough, or it’s not properly filtered, high-frequency response can sound grainy, and transients appear to be slewed with a time smear in an impulse response analysis.

To address this, PreSonus designed AIR loudspeakers utilizing a Class A/B amplifier for the high-frequency transducer and a Class D amplifier for the low-frequency transducer. The Class A/B amplifier used in PreSonus AIR loudspeakers is pure analog, with the “always on” driving characteristic of Class A/B amplifier topology. Therefore, the impulse response filtering necessary to tune an AIR loudspeaker is simplified and has less effect on the natural sound of a well-designed cone driver combined with a compression driver.

To describe the design, the engineering staff at PreSonus invented the term “Advanced Impulse Response” (AIR). The term represents the “airy” sound of the high-frequency components, as well as the simplified IR filters needed to voice the loudspeaker system.

PRE-AIR15S
AIR15s subwoofer

Versatile, Customized, Low-End Performance

Designed to complement any full-range PA loudspeaker and a perfect companion for the PreSonus® AIR10, AIR12, and AIR15, the AIR15s subwoofer delivers a powerful, clear, and accurate low-end punch. With its 15-inch low-frequency transducer, driven by 1,200 watts (dynamic) of Class D power, it provides plenty of detailed bottom end—all the way down to 35 Hz. Yet it is portable and well suited for mobile applications, as well as installed systems.

Extensive controls enable customized performance.

Since each venue has unique acoustics and each application makes different demands on a sound system, we’ve equipped AIR-series subwoofers with easy-to-use controls and signal-processing presets. Set your subwoofers for normal front-of-house use or get an even bigger low-end with the Mo’ Bass preset. Set them to perform in an array. Reverse polarity, use the lowpass filter to set a crossover frequency, adjust the master output level of the power amplifier, even turn the grille LED off for install applications or set it to illuminate only when the protection limiter is engaged—all at the touch of a button.

Equally at home in mobile and installed systems.

Although it has a rugged, tour-grade birch enclosure, the PreSonus AIR15s is much more compact and lightweight than you’d expect from a subwoofer that can deliver this much power. With integrated provisions for the included castor kit, ground-stacking provisions, and ergonomic handles on both sides, it’s easy to transport for mobile applications, while offering the features and performance needed for demanding installs. The AIR15s sports two combo XLR and ¼” TRS line-level inputs with level control, and throughputs are provided to connect full-range systems or multiple subwoofers in larger systems. You can even defeat the front power-indicator LED for low-visibility installs.

Plays well with others.

Although we recommend AIR-series full-range loudspeakers, AIR15s subwoofers can be used with virtually any full-range loudspeaker. Whatever full-range speaker you choose, aligning the subwoofer to its full-range companion will yield tighter bass response. AIR15s subwoofers make it easy, with a variable alignment delay that properly aligns your three-way system, whether the full-range loudspeaker is placed atop the subwoofer, using the sub pole, or is placed a few feet away. AIR-series subwoofers also are equipped with a variable lowpass filter that allows you to dial in the best crossover point for your system. Optimized settings are provided for the AIR10, AIR12, and AIR15 full-range loudspeakers.

Easily create subwoofer arrays.

Most subwoofers are essentially omnidirectional, radiating sound around the entire cabinet, which can cause feedback onstage and make monitoring more difficult. Creating a subwoofer array helps keep excess energy off of the stage and in the audience where it is needed. AIR-series subwoofers provide the tools you need to create these arrays with ease.

PRE-ULT10
ULT10

Ultra Long Throw with Even Coverage Throughout

ULT10: 2-way Active Sound-Reinforcement Loudspeakers

ULT: Ultra Long Throw.

PreSonus® ULT10 active loudspeakers combine the widest horizontal dispersion of any loudspeaker in their class with a focused vertical dispersion for an ultra-long throw. The result is even coverage throughout the space, enabling the audience to hear clearly wherever they are. Featuring PreSonus’ proprietary Pivot X110 horn, a custom 10-inch low-frequency driver, and plenty of biamped Class D power in a lightweight design with the performance characteristics that only wood can offer, ULT10 loudspeakers deliver first-rate speech intelligibility and natural music reproduction. This makes them a great choice for both mobile use and permanent installations.

Wide horizontal coverage, narrow vertical dispersion, and superior throw.

The ULT10’s custom-designed Pivot X110 rotatable horn combines ultra-wide horizontal coverage (110°) for broad coverage with focused vertical dispersion (50°) for superior throw. The result is a loudspeaker that can fill the room without introducing early reflections that muddy the sound. In addition, the Pivot X110 horn’s large size enables it to control the dispersion pattern lower in the frequency range than smaller conventional horns, so it maintains more consistent gain on- and off-axis, ensuring that the audience at the sides has the same listening experience as those in front. The result is sound reproduction that fills the entire room, evenly providing optimal audio.

Mounts horizontally or vertically for a variety of applications.

The Pivot X110 horn can be rotated 90˚, so the ULT10 can be mounted in a horizontal configuration while still maintaining its 110˚ x 50˚ coverage pattern. Along with its compact size, this makes the ULT10 an ideal center-channel speaker for an LCR system or an under-balcony fill. Rotating the Pivot X110 horn can also help fix FOH issues in tall, narrow venues by minimizing early reflections and providing more directed coverage. Add the ULT10’s multi-angle enclosure and presets for live performance, floor monitor use, and music playback, and you have an extremely versatile loudspeaker that is equally at home at front-of-house and as a stage monitor.

Plenty of power and I/O.

The ULT10 is supplied with more than enough power and I/O to handle a wide variety of applications and environments. Its 10-inch woofer is driven by a 500W (continuous), Class D power amp, while the 1.75-inch Pivot X110 horn receives 150W. (Peak power is rated at 1,000W and 300W, respectively.) You get two combo XLR and ¼” TRS inputs: a mic/line input with PreSonus’ acclaimed XMAX™ mic preamp and a line-level-only input. The inputs have independent level control, allowing up to two audio sources to be mixed internally and summed to a balanced XLR output for "daisy-chaining" multiple units. A separate direct output for the line input channel provides additional flexibility.

A compact, full-range system with a smooth midrange and rich low end, the StudioLive 312AI delivers 3-way coverage, with a 12-inch low-frequency driver and our proprietary 8-inch, CoActual® coaxial speaker for mid- and high-frequency reproduction. These transducers are driven by a hefty 2,000W RMS of triamplified, Class D power, all housed in a compact enclosure. The 312AI is time- and phase-aligned to form a true 4-way system when paired with the StudioLive 18sAI subwoofer, with or without the highpass filter engaged, to provide an optional overlap at 100 Hz for applications that require a little more low-end punch.

Networkable with Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or Dante.

The StudioLive 312AI comes equipped for wireless and wired communications over an Ethernet or Wi-Fi local area network for monitoring and control over custom tuning settings. Better yet, add the SL-Dante-SPK option card to create a Dante network and ditch your analog cables in favor of lightweight CAT5e or CAT6 cables.

The CoActual difference.

PreSonus’ proprietary CoActual 8-inch, horn-loaded coaxial speaker offers a consistent acoustic center and is responsible for high- and mid-frequency reproduction. The single point source provided by this coaxial design offers unique advantages, thanks to the driver’s symmetrical response. The net result is exceptional 3D imaging and a natural listening experience that reveals the subtlest details.

You’re in control—here, there, and everywhere.

The StudioLive 312AI features a robust onboard loudspeaker processor that can be accessed and controlled over a standard LAN network. PreSonus’ SL Room Control app for iPad, Mac, and Windows provides rich, easy-to-use system configuration and individual and group control over any StudioLive AI loudspeaker on the network, including alignment delay, parametric EQ, notch filters, group level, and graphic EQ, as well as performance monitoring. SL Room Control makes customizing your speaker system as simple as connecting an Ethernet cable to a wireless router.

Flexible connections and mounting capabilities.

The rear of the StudioLive 312AI reveals a combo XLR/TRS line input and an XLR microphone input with an XMAX Class A mic preamplifier and 12V phantom power, as well as an XLR mix output. In addition to the input mixer, you get speaker level-attenuation control. The lightweight plywood enclosure has two ergonomic side handles, interlocking stacking, and M10 fly points. Dual-position pole mounts allow you to mount the speaker atop a stand or subwoofer at 90 degrees or at a 10-degree downward tilt.

Clear, accurate, powerful—and available now.

Whether out on tour or installed in a venue, StudioLive 312AI loudspeakers deliver studio-monitor accuracy at incredibly high SPL, with amazing imaging and intelligibility. With extensive software control and wired and wireless networking, it offers advanced capabilities that go well beyond conventional point-source loudspeakers, yet it’s easy to set up and use. Special models for flown installs.

Available in white and in black, the StudioLive 328i-W and 328i-B are special versions of the 328AI designed for flown indoor installs. As such, they do not have handles and pole mounts, and internal grille cloth masks the drivers so that they blend seamlessly into their environments. A companion yoke mount is also available. In all other respects the new StudioLive 328i-W and 328i-B are identical to the StudioLive 328AI.

PRE-SLS18SAI
StudioLive 18sAI

Studio sound. Live performance.

StudioLive® 18sAI Active Integration subwoofers deliver studio-monitor accuracy onstage with unprecedented onboard processing and networking features. PreSonus® Active Integration technology enables wireless and wired networking control for setup, tuning, and monitoring functions, using an iPad®, a Mac® or Windows® laptop, or both. Powerful and musical, the StudioLive 18sAI naturally extends low-frequencies with a fast and accurate transient response and is a perfect mate for StudioLive 312AI, 315AI, and 328AI full-range loudspeakers, making it an ideal choice for installations and mobile applications where fidelity matters.

Tight, clean, natural bass.

Designed to complement full-range systems, without overshadowing them, the StudioLive 18sAI active subwoofer naturally extends the reach of your full-range systems’ low end to deliver studio monitor accuracy throughout its range. Driven by 1,000W RMS of Class D amplification, the 18sAI’s 18-inch ferrite speaker delivers exceptional low-end performance down to 35 Hz. The net result is a musical approach to sub-bass frequency reproduction that affords a natural listening experience on a large scale.

A four-way PA that works as one.

Although the StudioLive 18sAI is flexible enough to work great with other powered loudspeakers, when used with a StudioLive 312AI, 315AI, or 328AI, the StudioLive 18sAI forms a true four-way system. For applications that require a more linear (“flat”) frequency response between the subwoofer and full-range speaker, engage the highpass filter on the full-range StudioLive AI-series loudspeaker to readjust the phase and time-alignment, keeping the full-range system in phase with the 18sAI subwoofer. Need a little more bump? Leave the highpass filter off and enjoy the perfectly phase- and time-aligned overlap at 100 Hz between your full-range system and your subwoofer.

Networkable with Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or Dante.

The StudioLive 18sAI comes equipped for wireless and wired communications over an Ethernet or Wi-Fi local area network for monitoring and control over custom tuning settings. Better yet, add the SL-Dante-SPK option card to create a Dante™ network and ditch your analog cables in favor of lightweight CAT5e or CAT6 cables.

An optional, pull-tested Sub Pole lets you safely and securely mount a StudioLive AI full-range system atop the 18sAI. An optional, mountable, heavy duty Sub Dolly lets you roll your StudioLive 18sAI in and out with minimal stress, and the lightweight plywood enclosure includes ergonomic side handles.
