Loopback allows you to take the output audio stream from your SSL 2 or SSL 2+ and record it back into the DAW (or another application).
This can be really useful for music makers, podcasters and streamers.
To take advantage of the new loopback feature of the SSL 2/2+ you will need to update your SSL2/2+ using the SSL USB Audio Firmware updater.
Loopback copies the SSL2/2+ output 1+2 and makes it available at an additional pair of inputs. In your DAW, select the input channel called Loopback or inputs 3+4 and record the audio as you would with any other input channel. Be sure to mute the recording channel in your DAW to avoid creating a feedback loop!
